The Topsfield Garden Club, the Topsfield Historical Society, and the Essex Agricultural Society are hosting the third Grow Spring! Expo on March 18th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free annual event is for all backyard gardeners, environmentalists, crafters, brewers, and amateur ecologists.

The event is an opportunity for the community to connect with local experts in many different fields. If you have gardening questions before the start of spring or are looking for ways to be more involved in environmental issues, this is the place to start. The Expo will also be great for families, with a blacksmithing demonstration, local crafts, antique tractors, and (of course) butchers, bakers, and candlestick makers.

ifarm will be there too, so come on by and say hello. We will have a box of farm goodies along, including some of our lemon balm sachets, made right in our barn with ifarm lemon balm. They are potent: You will be able to find us by following the uplifting scent. Say hello early in the event to make sure we don’t run out!

The Grow Spring! Expo has a long list of events, including a wine and beer tasting (from Ipswich Ale and Mill River Winery), a farm and craft marketplace, and presentations by horticulturists, beekeepers, and a mycologist on growing shiitake mushrooms. Soup and sandwiches will be available for sale.

The Grow Spring! Expo is on Sunday, March 19th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Emerson Center and the Gould Barn. Parking at 9 East Common Street, Topsfield, MA. Oh, did we mention it is FREE?

Yes, it is free. Come visit and make sure to grab a lemon balm sachet from our stand!
