We have created this fourth Zinnias class due to popular demand!
Zinnias are a popular flower with many colored varietals. In this class, ifarm’s head gardener, Emily Round, will provide you with a dozen Zinnias ready for transplant into your garden, including six of the Benary variety that produces big show-stopping blooms, and six of the Oklahoma variety that produces smaller and more abundant flowers. We will provide a spectrum of colors to each participant, from reds and yellows to purples and darker hues.
Emily will explain the best ways to transplant, care for, direct seed, and harvest your Zinnias to ensure an abundant and consistent cutting garden through the growing season.
To plant these Zinnias, you will need a 4’ by 6’ garden space outside, with access to at least six hours of sun a day. They will provide enough flowers to harvest a colorful bouquet every week.
Monarchs, hummingbirds and bees will all be attracted to your garden by the Zinnias!
This is a hands-on class with demonstrations: Please come dressed to work with plants and soil, and prepared to be in a greenhouse or outdoors. ifarm will provide gardening gloves for participants to use during the class.
In the case of cancellation and rescheduling due to weather, we will send out an email to all registrants at least 12 hours before the event. You can read about our cancellation policy here.
