ifarm is excited to welcome Carl Solander, AIA, CPHC, LEED AP, a practicing architect, owner of Reverse Architecture, and lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, to teach this workshop for homeowners.
This value-packed workshop will detail the best renovations you can make to save LOTS of energy and money over time.
The talk is targeted to homeowners living in the Northeast. No skill or prior knowledge is needed to attend the class. He has a list of options that range from inexpensive to larger, more costly projects.
The renovation topics will include:
This workshop is focused on renovations that can passively conserve energy, but Carl also has knowledge about alternative energy sources (solar, geothermal, wind, etc) in the Northeast and will be happy to take questions at the end of the workshop.
The talk will be from 11-12. After the talk, there will be 45 minutes for questions.
Following the questions, there will be a half hour tour of ifarm’s restored 19th-century buildings, detailing the restoration process and the many sustainable design features that are present in the historic buildings.
