Herbal Skin Creams Workshop with Hannah Sparks

Herbal Skin Creams Workshop with Hannah Sparks

Experienced herbalist Hannah Sparks will be back at ifarm this Sunday, May 21st (2-5 p.m.) by popular request. Hannah will be teaching a workshop on healing and nourishing the skin.

The Skin Creams workshop is a part of our herbalism education track and is open to all skill levels. We will dive into skincare that is just as relevant today as it was two centuries ago (though 19th century Americans may not have had access to shea butter!)

Basil leaves with lemon oil and mortar and pestle

Skincare at a resort or a spa is very expensive and often is not personalized to your unique skin condition. In this workshop, Hannah will guide participants to craft a healing skin cream and to personalize it with essential oils like geranium, lavender, lemon, and frankincense. She will also cover the effects of a spectrum of oils (like almond, sesame, olive, and coconut) so participants can craft specialized creams at home.

Each attendee will take home a jar of their handmade cream, as well as the knowledge to heat, mix,and melt infused oils, waxes, and essential oils to create their own skincare alchemy!

I would love to attend some of your events. I live in Topsfield and belong to a local garden club.

I have an interest in herbs and permaculture.
