An event every week that begins at 9:00am on Thursday, repeating until Thursday, June 14, 2018
Preschool Pinecones is an exciting new collaboration between ifarm LLC and North Shore Nature Programs. This 8-week series is designed to introduce preschool-aged children (ages 4 to 5) to the outdoor wonders of spring.
It will be led by skilled environmental educator Michael Mansur of North Shore Nature Programs, who has been facilitating children’s environmental education for over five years.
The program begins on Thursday, April 26th and takes place each following Thursday for eight weeks (ending June 14th). Each day will run from 9 to 11 a.m. Each child will have ample amounts of adult supervision. Michael will have the support of an ifarm staff member to ensure the student to teacher ratio is never more than 4 to 1.
The nature-based program will allow your child to explore the world around him/her through stories, song, games, and nature exploration. Each day will have a seasonal theme (i.e. salamanders or flowers) and the classroom will be the forests and fields of ifarm, along with a historic barn for when the weather is inclement. There will also be opportunities to feed the farm animals and explore an expansive flower and herb garden. We can guarantee your child will return to you dirty, full of stories, and with a smile!
We are keeping the class small, at 8 students, so each child has plenty of attention. We highly recommend registering early, as we expect this camp to fill.
In the case of cancellation and rescheduling of a day due to weather, we will send out an email to all registrants at least 12 hours before the event. We will also send out an update on our facebook page. You can read about our cancellation policy here.
