Join the ifarm gardening staff in creating a beautiful bee hotel for our permaculture garden’s native pollinators. We will be using wood to create a home for solitary pollinators. Participants will go home with the skills to create their own bee hotel, big or small.
Please come dressed for the weather and ready to get your hands dirty.
This event requires a minimum of 5 participants. While walk-ins are welcome, this event will be cancelled if we do not have 5 sign-ups by Thursday, June 15th. So don’t wait, purchase your ticket now!
Bee Hotels are structures made of wood, stone and/or reeds. They contain drilled holes in an assortment of sizes, where native, solitary bees can live and lay their eggs. These bees are important pollinators that improve the health of your garden. For more information about supporting pollinators in your garden, check out our workshop on Planting for Pollinators.
